OUR CHAPTERS
Local women are invited to get involved and form part of local work. Chapter meetings host a variety of educational and informative presentations with the support of other local non-profits. Presentations have included workplace and labor rights trainings, wage theft and retaliation resources, and education and awareness of gender discrimination and sexual harassment. Special guests have included special expert guests such as Sisters in Health, Long Island Advocacy Coalition, Restaurants Opportunity Center, Department of Labor, New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health and Housing Help among others
Our members have not only been able to learn about local issues, services, and resources, but also national campaigns and movements as a way of empowerment. Our chapters serve as a safe space for empowerment, local information sharing, and more importantly nurturing a strong network of Latina Immigrant women & youth leaders.
* Nanny availability depends on venue and volunteers.
** Venues are spaces shared with partner organizations.
