About Girls ACT
Our program is committed to creating a safe space for growth, mentoring, and leadership development for Suffolk County’s Latina youth ages 14-20 years. Every summer, we provide a warm, constructive, and encouraging space where the participants are mentored and celebrated for their creativity, leadership, and their peaking interest in social justice.

What makes Girls ACT unique?
Five years ago, SEPA Mujer, Inc. was moved by the two young girls that were murdered by MS -13 in Brentwood, New York. At that time, we were playing an integral role with the parents of Latina Girls who had gone missing. Girls A.C.T. was created and developed to serve as a steppingstone to encourage young Latinas to continue their education, increase their job skills, their health and civic engagement. Girls A.C.T continues to respond to the needs of our community and create culturally responsive content for our youth. Girls A.C.T continuously evolves and caters this program to the direct needs of the Latina community.
