Introduction
Our goal is to provide education and outreach on prevention and protection against COVID19. We want to reinforce awareness that even without immigration status, being proactive about health is imperative to taking positive steps toward wellness.

We have opened a new COVID19 vaccination hotline! This hotline provided:

- Assistance in obtaining an appointment for vaccinations, including FLU.
- Provide general information about the COVID19 vaccine
- Help find transportation to and from vaccination sites.

How You Can Help Us
The Latino community was one of the most affected groups by COVID-19. However, vaccination against COVID-19 is low among our community and we would like to understand why. This survey could help us create better educational material, push for health actions such as access to health insurance, and ultimately, protect the health of our community.

Events
1. Youth Poster Contest
We are calling on to our Suffolk County Youth and Young Adults between the ages of 13-23 to participate in our “The Vaccine Saves Lives” Poster Contest! All participants are encouraged to create their own expressive poster related to getting vaccinated against COVID19. The poster could be created using their own form of art including but not limited to comic strips, paintings, drawings, poster graffiti, and digital media. This poster should highlight the benefits of getting vaccinated in a creative and appealing manner.
The contest will open April 01, 2022 and the deadline to submit is June 15, 2022. The winner(s) will receive a gift card prize of up to $100! The winning poster(s) will be featured in our summer youth health fair, outreach material, and on social media. Participants must submit a permission form for the feature prior to the deadline.
A copy of the poster along with the release form (attached below) must be either be mailed, dropped of personally to 110 North Ocean Ave Suite C, Patchogue, NY 11772, uploaded to sepamujer.org, or digitally emailed to the Health Liaison, Merly Fuentes at mfuentes@sepamujer.org.
