Elizabeth joins SEPA as the Resource Advocate Coordinator, having years of experience in social services and public health. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish. Her most recent position was as a health educator and program coordinator for an HIV prevention program. While in this position, she organized events with local health clinics and community partners to raise awareness about this health issue that is pervasive in communities of color. She was able to learn about social determinants of health, and has made it her mission since then to educate and empower individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing. She hopes to continue to help individuals in becoming self-sufficient and able to pursue their goals no matter how big or small.
