Amy Hammock, Ph.D.

Dr. Hammock is an associate professor in the School of Social Welfare and Program in Public Health at Stony Brook University. She is also the director of the institution’s dual degree MSW-MPH program. Dr. Hammock’s federally funded research focuses on community-level interventions to address the social determinants of health, including intimate partner violence and child abuse. She has over 25 years of experience working to address domestic violence diverse communities in the United States, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
